Launch of the Family Learning Awards 2025

We launched the annual Family Learning Awards on Thursday, 16 January 2025. The Family Learning Awards celebrate imaginative, innovative and inclusive ways of delivering learning opportunities which help families in their communities. Organised by the National Centre for Family Learning and Campaign for Learning, the awards are free to enter and open to all organisations working with families to support learning. They are competitive awards where entries are judged against a range of criteria.  

There are four categories for the 2025 Family Learning Awards:  

  • Family Learning in the Early Years Award, in partnership with CACHE Alumni 
  • Family Learning Innovation Award
  • Family Learning to Support Health and Wellbeing Award
  • Family Learning to Support STEM Award. 

 

Miranda Baxter, Deputy Director (Families), at Campaign for Learning, said: 

 "There is an incredible amount of excellent and diverse programming in family learning taking place across the UK. The Family Learning Awards are an exciting way to showcase and encourage continued excellence, as well as increase the visibility and impact of family learning across sectors. We also know that our wide family learning community values sharing their work and learning from each other and the awards enable these connections. If you are doing excellent work, please share it!"

Any UK organisation working with families such as libraries, museums, community education, schools, third-sector organisations, and tech companies can enter.  for one or more of the categories, we accept applications by new applicants, previous winners and shortlisted organisations

All applications are welcome, whether you are new to the awards or have previously entered, been shortlisted or won. If you think you are delivering exemplary family learning, or if you know of anyone doing so, we want to hear about it! 

The award timeline is: 

  • Awards open Thursday 16 January 2025   
  • Awards close Noon Monday 17 March 2025  
  • Winners announced May 2025
