Claire is also a Senior Coach Practitioner with a strong interest in emotional intelligence, inclusion, psychological safety and resilience.

Sakina Khan is an Innovation Project Manager at NCFE with over 25 years of professional experience, working on strategic partnerships with significant social impact. With her combined background in education, community engagement, and family life, she brings both professional and personal insight to learning innovations and provides a unique perspective for identifying truly transformative family learning approaches.

Janet King
Janet King is the Sector Manager for Education and Childcare at educational charity NCFE and plays a crucial role in developing new and existing qualifications under the CACHE brand, ensuring they are market leaders. Janet’s previous work has involved management in both Further and Higher Education across care provision and within social services and education.

Fiona Jelley
Dr Fiona Jelley is a researcher at the University of Oxford’s Department of Education. She is interested in young children’s learning and development, especially how it is shaped through parental engagement. Fiona is currently investigating the role of technology and how apps can be better designed to support children’s learning through parent-child interaction.

Miranda Baxter
Miranda Baxter is the Deputy Director (Families) at Campaign for Learning, bringing with her a passion for understanding, creating and emboldening learning cultures, particularly in family engagement contexts. She leads the National Centre for Family Learning, the Family Learning Festival and the Family Learning Awards. Miranda brings 20 years' experience from the museum and gallery sector in creative, human-centred audience and programme development prioritising collaboration, inclusion and diversity.

Maria Rossini
Maria Rossini is the Head of Education at the British Science Association. She has worked in education, communication and engagement for over 15 years and has a wealth of experience working across the sector for organisations such as the Science Museum, Science Learning Centres/STEM learning, British Science Association and the BBC.
Family Learning to Support Health and Wellbeing

Olivia Richards
Olivia Richards is the founder of The Story Project, a social enterprise dedicated to improving children’s wellbeing and literacy through stories. Olivia is also currently completing a PHD at St Mary’s University looking into teachers’ perceptions of the effectiveness of stories and The Story Project in PSHE education. Olivia’s work is built upon her years of practice as a teacher and leader in English and PSHE education and her international research into the use of stories to support children’s wellbeing.

Juliette Collier
Juliette Collier Juliette Collier is a National Director at Campaign for Learning and leads on family and community learning activities and parental engagement work in schools. She is a powerful and passionate advocate for the use of family learning approaches in developing motivation and confidence for learning for people of all ages. Juliette co-ordinates the Campaign’s large scale research projects which aim to show the impact of family learning and parental engagement on a range of outcomes for both children and adults.
